A little help for our friends

Greenwich Picturehouse and the Royal Observatory Greenwich present SCIENCE FICTION?, a series of entertaining screenings and discussions exploring the facts and fiction behind some of our favourite films.

The next of these thought-provoking events, on Monday 3 December at 6.30pm, is a showing of THE FIFTH ELEMENT (PG). Good and evil battle for the future of 23rd century Earth in Luc Besson’s visually striking big-budget science fiction epic starring Bruce Willis, Milla Jovovich and Gary Oldman. Following the screening, there will be a discussion led by the astronomers of the Royal Observatory Greenwich – what is the real science (or otherwise) behind the film?

More info here, and keep an eye out for future SCIENCE FICTION? screenings.

Tickets: Adult £9.50, Child £5.50, Cons £8.00
